Absorbine sponsored rider Justin Davis has been having a successful season!

Three year old filly Popsters Bootylicious took the Supreme Championship at North Weston WPCA back in April, and she followed this up with Supreme Young Stock Champion at the South Eastern Welsh Pony show on 17th June. Heidi is looking forward to breaking her in the autumn and returning her to the show ring next spring, lets hope she can keep up the successes of this year.

Popsters Euro Star has also had a good start, being crowned Supreme Mountain and Moorland Champion at the National Pony Show area 10. He also won the Young Stock title at Towerlands medal show in March and the Breed Championship at South Weston last month. He is another that will be broken and competing under saddle next year.

Popsters Mega Star made her show ring debut as a 2 year old in May and duly took the Breed Championship at NPS 29.

Popsters ponies have also been doing great for other people, Popsters Tommy Cockles won the first Horse of the Year Show qualifier of the year at West Mid Stallion show and went on to be overall champion Mountain and Moorland ridden for his owner and rider Nicola Musson. Popsters Rococo has also qualified for HOYS and also went on to be Champion Ridden at Royal Norfolk just a few weeks ago with his producer Katy Marriott Payne.

The foal from Justin’s cuddy winner, Parvadean Delight, that caused quite a reaction at HOYS last year has made her debut as a yearling. The foal, Brynseion Delectable, took the Supreme Young Stock title at Northern All-Welsh at the beginning of June for her owner Ceri Fell.

Due to the weather recently it has been very frustrating as quite a few shows have been cancelled so haven’t the ponies have not been able to get out much in the last couple of weeks, but fingers crossed for the premier show, The Royal Welsh, all goes to plan as Justin has a strong team going this year and they are all very much looking forward to it.
