Our Absorbine ambassador, Tom Jackson, has continued to enjoy an outstanding 2026 eventing season, delivering a string of impressive performances at some of the UK’s biggest fixtures, including Bicton, Badminton, Thoresby and, most recently, Burgham International Horse Trials.
The season got off to the perfect start at Bicton International Horse Trials, where Tom produced a confident and competitive performance aboard Sage Soldier to win the CCI3*-L. Finishing on his dressage score of 25 after an excellent cross-country round and consistent performances across all three phases, the result marked an encouraging start to the campaign for the horse, owned and bred by Alice Mead, Richard & Diana Midmer.
Building on that momentum, Tom headed to the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials, where he delivered a standout performance in one of the sport’s toughest five-star competitions. Riding United 36, owned by Mike Stenning, in their first five-star appearance together, Tom guided the joint-youngest horse in the Badminton field to an exceptional fourth-place finish. Producing a rare double clear on their five-star debut, the pair announced themselves on one of eventing’s biggest stages.
Tom’s form continued at the Eventing Spring Carnival at Thoresby Park, where United 36 claimed victory in the CCI4*-S. An immaculate showjumping round followed by a superb clear cross-country inside the time secured the win, demonstrating the partnership’s growing confidence and consistency at four-star level.
Most recently, Tom enjoyed another successful outing at Burgham International Horse Trials. Riding Brookfield Lando, he claimed victory in the CCI3*-S, while United 36 added another podium finish with an impressive second place in the CCI4*-S. Hawk Eye also delivered a strong performance to finish seventh in the same highly competitive class, rounding off an excellent week for the team.
From promising young horses to established four- and five-star campaigners, Tom’s season has been defined by consistency, careful preparation and continual progression. Each competition has strengthened the partnerships within his string, with results reflecting the hard work and dedication of the entire team.
The attention to detail extends to the presentation of Tom’s horses, which are always beautifully turned out. Head Groom Chloe relies on Absorbine grooming products to maintain their immaculate appearance, particularly for the dressage phase, from bathing with 2-in-1 Shampoo through to the finishing touch of ShowSheen® for a healthy gleam and tangle-free tails. The team also makes extensive use of UltraShield® Fly Spray to help keep irritating insects under control, ensuring the horses remain comfortable and focused throughout their training and competition.
Tom Jackson is a proud Absorbine ambassador, representing the brand throughout his eventing season.
