Charlotte is the current Olympic, World and European title holder. She is the only rider to have ever held these titles at the same time. With three Olympic gold medals and one silver medal she is team GB’s most successful equestrian Olympic rider.
“I am a strong believer in Absorbine products, and it means a lot to have a such trusted brand standing behind me. The best rides start with a horse that looks and feels his best, and Absorbine products help me achieve that.”
Charlotte enjoyed a tremendously successful childhood in the showring. She won at Horse of the Year Show four times and at the Royal International Horse Show three times. Upon leaving school, she focussed her attentions on the dressage arena.
In 2007 Charlotte had a lesson with Carl Hester who saw her potential and offered her a grooming job. Charlotte began riding a young horse, owned by Carl and Roly Luard, Valegro. She brought him through the ranks and the intention was that Carl would take over the ride on the horse. However, following their first Grand Prix competition, Carl allowed Charlotte to keep riding the horse.
Charlotte and Valegro subsequently won gold on their first British team appearance at the 2011 European Championships. The next year they went on to take both the individual and team gold medals at the London Olympics in 2012. The following year saw a further individual European gold for the pair and they then took individual gold at the 2014 World Equestrian Games. The finale for Charlotte and Valegro was a further individual gold and team silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Valegro was officially retired at Olympia in 2016.
To this day, Charlotte remains at Carl Hester’s yard, she is currently training the next generation of potential world beating dressage horses.
What records will Charlotte break next? Absorbine are thrilled to be part of Charlotte’s journey.
“I use ShowSheen every day, it is great for maintaining for the horse’s tail, stops it from knotting and getting split ends, and doesn’t break the tail so the horses look great for competitions.”
